During SXSW 2024, the EnergyX team hosted a special two-day event activation we called the “Lithium Lounge.” The event consisted of content production sets during the day, including podcast / YouTube recordings and a book signing, followed by parties both nights, bringing together some of the top visionaries, creators, and innovators in the industry from around the country to one place.
DAY ONE
Day One kicked off with a burst of energy as participants from a diverse array of backgrounds engaged in content creation and live discussions.
We had a live podcast recording followed by book signing with acclaimed Reuters journalist and author of “The War Below,” Ernest Scheyder. EnergyX is actually mentioned in one chapter of the book so it was a full circle moment to have him at the Lithium Lounge to lead a conversation about his inspiration for writing the book and stories behind it. Other podcast guests for the day included Lauren Berlingeri and Rohit Makharia.
To wrap up the content production portion of the day, our CEO Teague Egan went live with Sandy Munro and Farzad on the Munro Live YouTube channel.
As the sun set on day one, the atmosphere transitioned into a vibrant celebration. Attendees gathered for an electrifying party with our DJ – plus a surprise performance by stilt-walking lithium battery powered LED robot entertainers – set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Networking opportunities were endless as industry professionals, EV enthusiasts, EnergyX employees and investors mingled, exchanged ideas, and forged new connections.
DAY TWO
Day Two started off with a full day of podcast recordings with guests Zac & Jesse of Now You Know, Sandy Munro, Tony Coffey and Thomas Healy. All of the conversations highlighted the “xtraordinary” lives and journeys of these entrepreneurs and change makers and inspired our hosts. We truly can’t wait to release these episodes as part of the Xtraordinary Podcast so that our listeners can be inspired too! Overall, our first event during SXSW was a huge success. We were thrilled to see so many employees, partners, investors and the Austin community come out to support the event! Let’s do it again next year!
