Chloe Ke
“Sustainable mining and recycling will shape the energy transition. It’s our opportunity—and our obligation.”
Chloe Ke (aka Yi) is a strategic innovator, bridge builder, and global supply-chain architect. As Executive Vice President of Strategy and Sales at EnergyX, she drives the company’s commercial strategy, oversees global partnerships, and leads the development of critical-materials supply chains essential to the clean-energy future.
Before joining EnergyX, Chloe served as Vice President of BYD North America, where she led global mineral investment due diligence and built BYD’s overseas lithium raw-material supply chain during a period of historic EV growth from 2021 to 2025. She previously worked at New Energy Nexus in Silicon Valley, backing early startups in battery materials, energy storage, and EV charging technologies.
Earlier in her career, Chloe contributed to the landmark Reinventing Fire–China project at RMI, modeling national power-system pathways for China’s 13th Five-Year Plan and advising the White House on the 2015 U.S.–China Joint Presidential Statement on Climate Change. She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science from the Colorado School of Mines, conducted research at NREL, received the MRS Graduate Student Award, and graduated as one of the Top 10 Students of UESTC.
Fun fact: Chloe had an epiphany in 2005—after a year of soul-searching as a freshman—that set her lifelong dedication to the global energy transition.
