EnergyX is building a $10 million demonstration plan at its HQ in Austin Texas ($5 million DOE contribute contribution), which is movable to the field as well as in active discussions for leasing lithium resource acreage in the Smackover for Project Lonestar.
The company has applied for further DOE grants to build a 25,000 tpa LCE facility in Arklatex ($700 million total CapEx). Project Lonestar is expected to have among the most favorable economics among US lithium projects.
